Welcome Dr Carolyn Beaumont as a GP consult on Best & Well
As one of Australians leading General Practitioners for healthier alternatives to smoking, Dr Carolyn has helped 1,000’s of Australian adult smokers to quit the habit.
Dr Carolyn is a general practitioner with Fellowship of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners. She is an Australian authorised prescriber of nicotine. She founded the Australian prescription service Medical Nicotine in 2020. Her innovative telehealth service Smoker Health has recently been founded in 2023.
She has developed more awareness and understanding of the plight of chronic smokers – those who desperately want to stop smoking and have tried many traditional options without success.
She has recently been recognised by her local council, having been nominated for the 2023 local council ‘Woman of the year award’ for her work in tobacco harm advocacy, support for ex-smokers and school education. Carolyn has been published in national newspapers, interviewed on radio, co-authored medical journal articles and is a regular speaker at international tobacco harm reduction conferences and forums. She is a member of the JAPAC tobacco harm reduction regional expert group, bringing together field experts from the Asia-Pacific region to educate and influence global tobacco harm reduction policies.
We welcome Carolyn to the Best & Well team, to join team drive to get smoking rates below 5% by 2030.
